For the past year Jake has been handling the landscape maintenance of several of our west side properties. We are a property management company and we don't have time to chase landscapers, wonder if their charges are correct and worry about whether they show up and do a good job.

Jake is extremely dependable, ALWAYS shows up and does his best to work with and around our tenants.

We wouldn't trade him for the world. We would, however, clone him for our east side properties!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why does your work stand out from the competition?

Jake's Landscape Maintenance (JLM) takes pride in excellent customer service, recognizes the unique requirements of each customer, and maintains each property in accordance with professional best practices.

What do you like most about your job?

Knowing that each customer can relax and enjoy time with friends and family instead of working in their yards during the week or on weekends.

How do I get a free estimate on work?

Call or email Jake, and he will stop by your property to view the work that is needed.

Can I afford your landscape maintenance services?

Whether you are selling, renting, need a seasonal clean up, or want weekly maintenance, we have service packages at affordable rates. We do not have high pressure sales reps on our team. You deal with Jake and Jake only. We avoid the sales commission and pass the savings to you.

Do I need to be there for the estimate?

No need to be present. It usually shouldn't take Jake more than a few minutes to walk the property and get a bid proposal typed up and emailed over (or left behind if needed).

Do I need to be on-site for work to be completed?

No. Whether our crew is there for a one time job, or weekly maintenance, there is no need for you to be present. As long as a side gate is unlocked, we will be able to service the property. And we always make sure that the gate is fully shut and secured prior to leaving the property.

Why is professional maintenance important?

Professional landscape maintenance is a very key factor to keeping your property looking its very best 12 months out of the year, keeping its property value up, and keeping a neighborhood happy! A lot of home owners know how to mow a lawn, but it is the fertilizing, trimming, pruning, weed control, debris haul away, etc. that we hear is the hardest part for most home owners to keep up on. Our customers can rest assured and enjoy their lives with family & friends.

How much does professional landscape maintenance cost?

This is one of the most asked question we get over the phone, email, or while you see us in your neighborhood. We calculate how large the grass areas are (mowing, edging, fertilizing, weed control), evaluate any large trees on the property (fall leaf clean up and storm debris), inspect beds (weeding, raking, and detailing), and review the number of plants, shrubs, bushes & hedges (time it will take to keep the plants trimmed and manicured through out the year). So it's very hard to put a number on a job/property with out seeing it.

What is included in your maintenance program?

We have 3 different levels of service packages, so there is always one that will fit your needs & budget.

Do you haul away the debris each visit?

Yes, we always haul & recycle debris after each visit.

Will I receive service each week?

Yes, our services are a weekly, year round service. Except for our Mow & Go service package which is seasonal March-November.

When will I be billed for your services?

We email out (or mail) invoices at the end of each service month.

What if I don't need it weekly?

This is always a popular question with our new customers. Years ago we offered a bi-weekly service (twice a month). However, experience taught us that when we waited double the time to service a customer's property that there was double the work to be done and took double the time. So we now only offer weekly maintenance, which keeps the property always looking its very best.

What if I have a special project and I am not sure if it is a Maintenance item or Construction?

We do not offer any design, install, or irrigation service. However we can help you to get in touch with local companies for all your needs.

What if it snows on my scheduled maintenance day?

If there is not much snow and is safe to drive, our crews will show up and clean/clear all walkways, driveways, porches, decks, etc. (no extra charge).

Why do I need to mulch my beds?

It is good to have us deliver & install bark, mulch, or compost in the beds of your property every couple of years. Not only does it make a landscape look 100% better, it is also good for plants and helps retain moisture.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No, there are no contracts to sign. You may cancel service at anytime, no questions asked. Although we have never had anyone cancel (except when moving out of state), it is good to have the choice to and not be locked in.

What day/time will you service my property?

We come the same day, same time every week. It depends where your property is located, but chances are we have a service truck within a mile of your property every Tuesday-Friday.
